Kpicu - Clearwater
Kpicu
Description
Tucked away but spacious, this Caribbean-fusion spot elevates Puerto Rican classics with standout plates like rosemary salmon papillote, pork plantain tostadas and seafood risotto. Service is consistently warm and attentive, and the dining room is clean, comfortable and music-accented. Reviews vary: many hail it as a hidden gem for foodies, families and date nights, while others report uneven seasoning, occasional delivery or takeout errors and higher-than-expected prices. Worth trying for adventurous diners, but expect some variability in quality.

Wonderful fusion cuisine! The portions were generous, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the owner and his wife were incredibly welcoming. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to try something unique. I had the strip steak with plantains, which was fantastic. The pulled pork appetizer was also incredibly flavorful. The first photo shows my son’s dish, which was a chef’s choice pork chop—I've never seen one so large! Even he, a hearty eater, couldn't finish it. The second photo is my skirt steak accompanied by a mountain of plantains.
At first glance, the exterior of the restaurant seemed a bit questionable, but once I stepped inside, I immediately felt at ease. The ambiance is charming, and the place is exceptionally clean. The greeter was very friendly, especially since we were the only two patrons at that moment. Now, onto the food: everything was delicious! The meal was bursting with flavor. The steak was juicy, and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. The plantains were fantastic, and the coleslaw was simply awesome. I can't wait to return and explore more items on the menu. I don't often give a restaurant five stars, but K-picu truly deserves it. Well done!
The menu refers to it as Caribbean fusion, but what you'll really discover is an elevated take on Puerto Rican cuisine. I’ve dined in many places around the world, and I've never encountered anything as extraordinary and distinctive as this. Very few establishments have this level of "wow" factor. Do yourself a favor and give it a try! Here are some menu items I sampled: Guava fried cheese appetizer for $8 and Chimichurri skirt steak with mofongo for $22. Don't be fooled by the humble exterior; the restaurant is quite spacious inside. It's clean, comfortable, and inviting, with just the right background music to enhance the dining experience. The prices are reasonable, perhaps slightly higher, but they reflect the quality and flavor—no complaints here! The service was warm and friendly, with attentive staff. The menu descriptions don’t do justice to the actual meals. I'm so glad I finally decided to try Kpicu. The five-star reviews are absolutely accurate! As a foodie, I couldn't be happier and highly recommend it.
You have to visit them! Delicious high quality dishes, selection of sangria and great service. The entire experience, from start to finish, is excellent. The waiter is always very nice and friendly. I love the service at the place and the chef is very kind to the guests and always cares to offer the best quality! I highly recommend this place. They made me feel like I was in my beautiful island Puerto Rico Service: Dine in
