It’s been a while since I’ve visited a checkers. I’m glad I did today!!

When we finally got up to the... read more We went there for lunch this afternoon. We waited in the drive thru for over 20 minutes behind a car who was waiting for his food. When we finally got up to the window, paid for our order- after asking if it was going to take a while and being assured that it wasn't, we received our food. We ordered ice cream as well for our daughters. We were asked to pull around to the other window to wait for our ice cream. We waited for 5 minutes and we were waiving at the manager, Maddy in the window and she wouldn't acknowledge us. After a few more minutes she came over, with an attitude, and stated that she knew why we were waiting, but that the ice cream machine wasn't on and they just turned it on and it was going to take another 10 minutes at least to freeze. When we said we had already been waiting almost 30 minutes and we would like to speak to the manager, she said she was the manager. We then asked for a refund of the ice cream. She told us she could not really do this. The only way was to refund the transaction and then charge our card again. We then asked to have the phone number of the manager to which she stated it was written on the bag, which is the generic customer service number for checkers. Needless to say we will not be back, especially as our order of the food we did receive was incorrect.

However, the prices are quite reasonable. During my many visits, I've never received an incorrect order, and the staff are generally friendly.

My wife ordered a Checkerburger with... read more I had my first experience at Checkers, and it was quite enjoyable! Since I don't eat meat, I opted for their fish sandwich. My wife ordered a Checkerburger with cheese. It was good, but not exceptional. However, the French fries were amazing! They were crispy and perfectly seasoned, definitely the highlight of the meal. I also want to mention the night crew—they were friendly and very helpful throughout our visit. Thanks, everyone!
