Upon arriving in the city of brotherly love and in need for a place to unwind, I reached out to noted tastemaker Ron from Delco. He suggested I head to Hangman Brewery if I was up for a little drive. What Jason C doesn't like about Hangman Brewing:
Wasn't open 1:30 pm Saturday July 8th even though the sign in window on their website yelp and google all said it would be. Site was last updated July 4th. Beers description looked good. Was wondering if it was shuttered or just a vacay or something. Would have liked to try thief beer. Upon arriving in the city of brotherly love and in need for a place to unwind, I reached out to noted tastemaker Ron from Delco. He suggested I head to Hangman Brewery if I was up for a little drive. Apparently this was Kevin Hayes 's favorite spot until they stopped serving Mountain Dew Code Red. Well, Hangman did not disappoint! Immediately I was greeted by a dog (nice) and the unmistakable vibes that are only accompanied by live music. Things only got better as I visited the food truck for some sliders and pickles that can only be described as quite good. The shining star of the visit was the robust selection of beers which also earn the designation of quite good. Hangman earned a stamp of approval from Ron from Delco and I 'm happy to say it has earned mine as well.
We went here because we stayed in our RV in their parking lot overnight, through the Harvest Host program. It was a great experience. The brewery. The flight of beers was good. The owner was serving drinks at the bar. There was live music and the singer took some requests. And there was a big dog that walked around inside that we just could not give enough attention to, lol.Staying overnight/Harvest Host.As for staying overnight, it was good. We have a dually truck and haul a 36 ft fifth wheel. The parking lot we parked on did slope and we had to park on blocks to be level in order to run our fridge but that wasn't too big of a deal. Backing up into the spot wasn't really difficult or really easy. It's in the back corner of the parking lot, so might depend on where other cars are parked. All in all, we liked it as an overnight stay on one of our longer drives between campgrounds.
What sets hangmans apart is they lean 100% into the entertainment like the old 90s joints used to. From bands to comedy shows they have it here. Feels more like family. I personally enjoy all the everything they have going on here
