Tubby's Sub Shop - Clawson

I wish I could give them a lower rating, but that's not an option. The atmosphere of the place is great, but I've found that my subs often have more salad and tomatoes than actual meat. I decided to give them another chance, but they made some major mistakes. How is it possible for two subs and two poppers to cost over $30? I still tried to be understanding because I know it's not the staff's fault; they really need to learn how to put more meat in their sandwiches. I hoped the third time would be a charm, but it was still lacking. On a positive note, the $3.99 deal for four burnt deep-fried mushrooms was a steal, and the steak and cheese sub was delicious. However, it brought to mind those old '80s commercials that asked, "Where's the beef?"

My sister and I were in search of a quick and healthy meal, so we decided to stop by Tubby. We both ordered subs, and we were very pleased with our choices. I’m confident you can find some great sandwiches there!

I placed an online order for ASAP, and it was supposed to be ready at a specific time. However, just a few minutes before I was about to leave, they started preparing my order. I ended up having to wait, but they were quick and extremely friendly.

I ordered a Steak Sub from the Tubbys site in Royal Oak online tonight. I wasn't sure I could pick it up by the drive or if I had to come in. It was absolutely impossible to understand what the answer was, from whom was manning the drive thru. But I thought they were coming forward. So I get out of the line and park and go to the front doors. They're all locked. Then I had no choice but to get back to the line. I came 10 minutes before my order was ready to be and due to the very long line I received my food 15 minutes after. I was worried if my lower part was even hot, but it was safe. It's 82 out, but I went home without air conditioning and windows to get what heat it could have left. Wouldn't have been disturbed. I was home and it was freezing. That was a treat for me to get one of those subs, but never again.

The 2 ladies that work here are the sweetest! I literally only go to this tubbys because of those 2. They always remember me, greet me with such enthusiasm, and it makes my day. The subs are fantastic too! It always brightens my day to go here, as silly as that may sound.
