What Rae Houle doesn't like about Downtown Charlie's:
I tried this place for the first time today. Got a Reuben. It was not grilled, on toast and with two tiny pieces of corned beef. Swiss cheese tasted like kraft cheese. The sandwich was so salty!! Seasoned fries way too salty also. I won't go back again. I will say the waiter was very nice. 15 dollars for a very less than average sandwich. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 View all feedback.
Initially, there was no waiting time. I live less than 5 minutes from the place, as I came there, we sat and then it seemed only a server working and maybe the manager. we got our drink order and then the manager made an announcement to the outside seat customers that there was a waiting for eating because it was just the two. more than 20 minutes waiting for the server to come back to take our food order and based on the amount of other tabs still waiting to order, we decided to leave.
Enjoyed your quick visit, the sausage was very nice, made in house and unique.
I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup with lemonade and so delicious! The bread was crispy and toasted well, cheese was stretchy! Soup was okay, but still paired well with the sandwich.
Awesome place and great service. Even when Things out of their control happen they still do everything in their power to make it right. Amazing food!
Best breakfast in Clawson. Nice open space. Friendly service.
