Helen's Hot Chicken - Clarksville

Everything is so good! The staff is nice, the food is delicious and it doesn't take much to full you up. We tried their mild wings and catfish and their hot wings;as someone who likes hot food, hot was really hot! You really only need mild;its season well and has a kick to it. The fires were much better the first visit then the second, but overall they're the best chicken place in town! We really needed something like them here!

We’ll I wasn’t disappointed with the heat! I got mild and it was still hot!!! Freshly made to order so it may take a bit longer for your order. I really wish Helen’s wasn’t by that stinky river though. If you like Hot Chicken you’ll love Helen’s!!!

The wait time is long but the chicken is being cooked fresh so it's worth it. The chicken was very tasty and the prices are good. The only complaint was that the breast quarter was a little small. Overall the food was good and we will definitely be back. Much easier than driving to Nashville for Hot Chicken.

I went in there yesterday got my 3 wing combo as normal. As time went on i realize the young lady who helped me was left alone as business began to pick up. Running the kitchen and front alone. She kept her composer and did very well to get all the orders taken care of and still manage to make one of my favorite meals to perfection. I come here weekly and do not receive as good customer service in a long time from Helen's.

I will say that the food was delicious. The spicy chicken was definitely spicy, and the waffles were good. The food was awesome. The price was pretty reasonable for the food too. However I am not too pleased with the service. We were going to call in an order before we got there. The lady on the phone said that she would only take payments upfront. The funny thing is, there are signs posted all over the restaurant saying something like there usually is a 20-30 minute wait. If you would like, CALL IN before time for a shorter wait and then we tried asking for butter for our waffles, and we were told that we don 't want that. Not sure why we would ask for butter, if we didn 't want it. And one more complaint I have is, why are there no fountain drinks? I have not seen a restaurant that would only do bottle drinks. Yes you do have to pay for another bottled drink, when you finished your last one. No free refills in other words.
