We enjoy the blues so it should not be a surprise we thoroughly enjoyed Ground Zero Blues Club. The club is located in Clarksdale, Mississippi in the historic section and co-owned by Morgan Freeman. Everywhere one looks there is something of interest. The fried chicken plate was recommend to us. While I don 't ordinarily order fried food, I am glad I made an exception in this instance. What Cheryl K doesn't like about The Depot Blues Club:
Great service, the 2 ladies were taking care of the place were fantastic- little pricey for the burger, beer, pulled pork sandwich, but its the home of the blues. Listened to Lucious Spiller- Nothing else was even open in Clarksdale View all feedback.
A wonderful no pressure blues joint. Great to pay the cover but not feel pressure to buy anything. We were lucky enough to see an amazing performance.
We were really excited to eat at this venue. Very much felt like Delta bluesy atmosphere. The people were great. I hate to say we were let down by the food. We were there early for lunch and it was like they hadn’t turned the fryers on or heated up any of the gumbo. Catfish and fries were very greasy and raw. Gumbo would’ve been better if it was warmer. I think we might give it a try for the supper menu next time we are in town.

Stopped for lunch and a taster of blues music while on tour . Great atmosphere. Food not good. Could do to upgrade rest rooms . Enjoyable afternoon
Stopped for lunch during our Mississippi Blues trail adventure. What a fun place! Good food, great service. Stop in and say hello to Shewana. Fun atmosphere. Our only regret is that we aren’t here for the music that starts in the evening. We had a friend green tomato Sammich, a local ipa called crowd control and a fried pecan pie for desert.
