Abe's Bar-B-Q - Clarksdale

Good grill. We've eaten several times here. The onion rings are the best I ever had. The beef sandwich was good, just needs more sauce. The frits are ok and the Bbq sauce is so good we bought some to take home.

Abe met me as Old School Mississippi BBQ. (I say that based on a recent episode of Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown, where he examined BBQ in this part of Mississippi and even the chefs he spoke with, said it was hard to put your finger on a certain feature of their Q! Abe 's looks like it's a long time and all music-related photos (Elvis, etc.) on the walls to help this mood. I had the Big Abe Sandwich that was the pulled pig with Cole Slav and some great baked beans. It was all about good food and the people were very friendly. A great stop on my long journey from St. Louis!

Escape. We were on a 10-go from Texas to Nashville and back and that was an accessful stop. I just shut off the highway to find a lunch, and that's the first place I saw. You have to stop at a joint, the BBQ and the Blues since 1924. I'm a replacement rib man, but the babybacks they cook are excellent. I'll come back to Cross Roads someday to try.

Best BBQ in the Delta hands down. Love their slaw and baked beans too. My hubby and I just adore this place. Wonderful ribs too!

Best BBQ sauce in Mississippi. I really like Abe 's a lot and know the owner very well. My favorite thing at this place is the BBQ sauce. I buy it by the bottle, which they sell, and put it on potato chips, french fries, and even hamburger. Ha, I know that sounds crazy but it is so good. I will be honest though, the BBQ is not the just Oh my God best in the world, but it is pretty good. They also have some dang good hamburgers. The staff is super nice and sweet and is always there to help you out. I visit this place about 5 times a year and always have a great time. Stop on by and try it out.
