Clarenville Big Stop

First time in a long time since I been there and it's gonna be an even longer time before I go back.. ordered breakfast with eggs over medium bacon toast and hash browns first of all eggs were very runny I only got 1and 1/4 pieces of bacon which was hard as a rock hash browns were very seasoned not like they use to be and toast wasn't homemade like it use to be .. so disappointed. There was so much wasted food all over the floors that wasn't cleaned up and they just kept assigning people to sit and still didn't bother to clean it the whole restaurant wasn't very clean.. waitresses were not very pleasant at all..

Slow getting food and people after us getting food before us and wifi does not work bad service to us

I went in to order breakfast, (thinking it would be the fastest) scrambled eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and coffee. I got my coffee ok, and asked for more, she did not even provide a clean mug, which all other restaurants since COVID started provide clean mugs and glasses if you ask for a refill she poured it on what was left of my coffee. yuck! after 30 minutes of waiting I was told it should not take much longer, I walked up to the cash, said forget the breakfast, i will just pay for the coffee which was overpriced and politely said over 30 minutes to wait for a breakfast is ridiculous. The restaurant was operating at 50 capacity. Good thing it was no 100 like before covid. There was no apology for the terrible service. she just took the money. Needless to say I was not impressed and there was no tip. If you eat there TIME it from the time you order til you get your meal. Be sure you have plenty of time to wait. I did not have a lot of time.

Always stop here for my gas when travelling through NL.

The food is delicious. The staff are very friendly. The place is very clean. Hats off to the chef . The soup is as close to your own as you can get. The clod plates are just awesome ,and the dessert is more than you can eat .
