Original Street Cafe - Clarens

The Service and food was good. We visited early evening before it got busy, maybe things change when more tables are occupied.

Beautiful view however sadly let down by food and service. You can always judge a place by their starters. We had pancakes (dry) and spring roll (dough was sparse en over cooked-hard at some places) starters. Very disappointing as we love both items and eat them often. Live music was good and created a nice atmosphere. I really hoped for more from this place. :

Beautiful experience! beautiful event and very tasty eating. the new owners are very welcoming and warm towards children.

Service is unacceptable, waited so long for a baby chair that we had to go fetch it ourselves.Milkshakes are depressing.

Had breakfast this morning in street caffe on the way back to joburg. very disappointing eating the eggs were not cooked as we asked the speck was hard and chewing and the whole eating was cold apart from the chips! as vegetarian here was not much choice, but I asked after 2 eggs roasted with fried tomato chips and toast. the fried tomatoes was a tiny disc as they would get as garnish and we were 0.001 when we complained about the waitress, it just said sorry and obviously don't shatter her shoulders. we will never go back if they can't make decent breakfast, they shouldn't be in business!
