Waffle House - Clarendon County

Food was so…the cook did our Hashbrowns just like we like them…crispy

I called up here, with no luck. So I drove up here, same result. I was actually told that I could NOT place a to go order.

We get there and wait for a table to be cleared and it was busy so we didn’t mind the wait but why when we sit down one, the very awkward waitress started singing along very loudly and out of tone with the song playing overhead(that she put on through the jukebox at 9am) then proceeded to take my wife’s plate from in front of her while “asking” if she was done which she wasn’t and just snatched up the plate while my wife had half a sandwich in her hand but didn’t take my plate that I pushed to t … – show

Paige, my waitress was exceptional. She was friendly, accommodating and completely competent. The food was average fare, a very good breakfast. The coffee was good atmosphere was so so.

I was refused service today because I wanted my order to go. I was told they are under staffed. I could have placed an order and sat down to eat it, or, I suppose, ask for a to go container and packaged it up myself. It doesn’t make sense why making the food, plating it and serving it is easier than making it and putting it in a to bin. Plus the rudeness with which I was told was no appreciated.
