What Phillip B doesn't like about The Southern Belly Bbq:
The restaurant is small, and has limited seating. Service was good, but food did take a while to arrive. They only offer a selection of sandwiches. No traditional meat plates or specialty meats. They have multiple different sauces, which were all very sweet. My sandwich was very very heavy, even without the sauce. Fries were good. Not the best BBQ in Columbia, but also not terrible. Very laid back country place, they have some very nice paintings on the wall. Fast service, I wanted to call my order in but could never get an answer; so I went there and it was only 1 young lady serving customers. I thought it was going to take a while but to my surprise my order came up faster than I expected. Waited 45 minutes for sandwiches! FYI that's literally all they have like 7 sandwiches. How hard can you possibly make that?
