Called in for a coffee and a snack while my elderly mum was at the hairdressers close by. Great service by the staff, friendly and helpful and brought over my mug of coffee which was okay. Had a price of pizza as a snack and...More View all feedback.
What Giovanna Howell doesn't like about Cripps DT & JL Bakehouse:
I have searched this hotel frequently years ago. It was not in a while - decided to comply with a few buddies between Christmas and Nye, because nothing else was open. The service was fantastic, but the food was usually and quite expensive. I ordered a series of medallions, chicken wings and chicken strips, and somehow cost me over $ 25. To make things worse, everything was awful. Unfortunately, will not be back. View all feedback.
A package that provides for all different lunch menu requirements, from pizza, burger, hot chips to cake, scones sweets. it is neither gourmet nor does it as if it is so, that is the beauty of the place sometimes they need only fast eating. after the 10km buschgang it was the perfect place to take a quick lunch to continue the walk I had a chicken sluice, nothing to rave over (it was good) I was happy to have there a healthy choice, especially after the walk high markers for the ability to get quick food offer for children. pie, scones and jelly discs were a hit with petty. jam donut was too oily we ate our lunch on the pier. that was amazing.
I love this place and I don't know whether it's the racks of various broths, the house made sweets and desserts or the bain marie stuffed to the edge with homemade pizza, tempura fish or simply delicious nibbels. they have only three tables inside and are always busy. it is a bellerive hidden gems really and it attracts the hordes of schoolchildren to 3 watches when they reduce most of their food by 50%. the coffee is more milky than I am used to, but good quality. they make big quiche, and my favorite bread is the pumpkin bread that is herby and perfect with homemade suppe. a real family business that returns to the local. not even the big franchised bakeries knock 50% of their...more
Read the previous review about the Scallop Pie. I had to give him one, because the bakery is just around the corner of our accommodation. - aazing! the baked was perfectly cooked, the scallop bites were beautiful and the mild curry sauce was perfectly balanced. make them please and go to this place asap and order a scallop cake!
I visited this place years ago. it wasn't one because in the decision to stop with a few kumpels between christmas and nye, as nothing else was open. the service was fantastic, but eating was neat and quite expensive. I ordered a series of medaillons, chicken wings and chicken strips and it somehow cost me over $25. it was all terrible to make it even worse. will not be back.
Great service. Great place for a quick take away. Have some great bakery treats at a good price. Coffee is cheap but feels cheap as well. Decor needs attention.
