My husband and I often go there. You have a waitress who doesn't offer us good service. Watch the waitress with the bright blonde/red hair. Drink in your round without drinks on the table. Yes, it will even go to server times that do not offer any service at all. Check served very quickly after she brings out the food. That's all a sign that she won't be back.

My family loves dining at Mattie's! The service is exceptional and friendly, making us feel like family from the moment we arrive until we leave. Children are especially welcomed and cherished here. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is cheerful and relaxed. The waitress with blonde/red hair mentioned earlier is Susie, and we think she’s absolutely wonderful! The entire staff is fantastic. My family and I always look forward to our dinners at Mattie's and hope they stay around for a long time.

This is one of the rare home-style restaurants, and the food is fantastic if you enjoy home cooking. While the menu isn't extensive, there are always excellent specialties to choose from, and the service is friendly. The catfish dish is to die for, and the desserts are delightful. It's not a fancy place, but it has a casual and lively atmosphere. I love dining here and often come with my family and friends.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I discovered mouse droppings in my food and requested to speak with the owner. An elderly gentleman named Mattie approached me but seemed to dismiss my concerns and accused me of lying. I won't be returning. Absolutely terrible.
