What User doesn't like about Waba Grill:
terrible service, I come today 4/2/22 at 1:40 pm. Nobody welcomes me to be taken in waiting for my order for a few minutes and I try to get the girls attention. She just walks away and the boys just laugh in the kitchen. Did I do something with them? Like the reason no one could help me. I went to the end and looked like a fool. Good food, cheap prices and healthy. Good service. Three years after my return. What happens. The food was burned and the place smells like burn. Don't you come back?

We ordered two teriyaki bowls with onion and both came without onion. It was ordered through Ubereats and we arrived before 8 but the door was locked and they didn?t let us in. They ignored us for a minute before coming to give us our food. The man quickly gave the bag and locked the door before I could check the order to be correct or to ask for extra sauce. They were rude and negligent.
On September 17th I visited this location for what will be my last time. I am thoroughly disgusted by the service I received and it is clear this location?s target demographic. I went in for a BOGO chicken bowl at the height of what would be the dinner rush, 5pm. I had an in app coupon which, if you?re familiar with their app, expires rather quickly once selected. I was rung up by a young man who was confused from the jump. He did not speak English... like at all. When I showed him I had the app he looked confused and called over a young woman to assist. She had me scan the code and I had to explain that it was even an app. How do you not know that the company you are employed by has an app luv? I tried to tell her that the code was quickly expiring and would soon disappear from my phone. I thankfully screenshot it right before it expired. She too, did not speak much English. She made some sort of mistake and cancelled out the entire order and attached coupon which apparently rendered the coupon as used. She looked and me and shrugged. ?The computer messed up. I don?t know.? How that managed to be my problem, I do not know. At this point I had been standing there for 5 minutes simply trying to order and explain that the computer error was not my issue and that the fault lied on them. She began to protest and say it wasn?t her fault and that she?d done nothing wrong. She began to tell me I had done something wrong! At this point I asked if she was the manager, considering she was completely out of uniform. She was not. I told her to get the manager and at that point she went and got a man. This man ALSO SPOKE LITTLE TO NO ENGLISH! I explained to him the situation again and he just stared at me with the dumbest look on his face. At this point, I told dude straight up that it was the incompetence of either his workers or their system but the fault was not my own and I would not accept it. He wasn?t going to help me at all until I began asking for names. Somehow...this store manager did not know the young woman?s name, the man?s name, his area manager?s name nor HIS OWN!?! Hilarious. He clearly was scared of me reporting this incident, and rightfully so. I managed to get my food after 10+ minutes of broken English back and forth that was in no way shape or form necessary! I understand that this is America and we are a melting pot of cultures and languages but there is no gotdamn reason why at the height of a dinner rush at a location in CLAREMONT,CA, that noooobody on the shift spoke English. Based on other reviews, I see that this location has a history of this. This location clearly is only interested in actually catering to the Hispanic population. There is no diversity in this workplace and that is glaringly obvious and something that I will not support.
