I started with the fried mushrooms, which were fantastic. They used fresh mushrooms instead of frozen ones, all covered in a light beer batter. For my main course, I had the surf and turf—a medium-rare Donico steak paired with broiled scallops—and it was delicious, as always. I enjoyed it with a Sam Adams. The portions were a bit on the smaller side, but it was worth every penny. View all feedback.
What christine h doesn't like about Pleasant Street:
We went back for dinner on Valentines Day. The food was good, if it was able to stay hot. The inside was almost as cold as the outside. One of the staff members brought her infant in to work and sat her by our table while she restocked the salad bar. Yes she was cute, and we talked to her(the baby), we didn't appreciate a crying child on our date night... Salad bar was not stocked well.....never were asked how our me... View all feedback.
Great service and beautiful traditional seafood and steak menu do not see much here. The chicken breast I had was juicy, and the severity was tasty over my potatoes. Clean and beautifully decorated, we will be back soon.
Ok, so the thing to remember here is you get what you paid for. I ordered the $31 surf and turf; Delmonico steak and Haddock grilled with a baked potato and cottage cheese . The steak was thin and fatty and the haddock a little fishy tasting. I gave it a 4 because our self- described waitress was absolutely wonderful. She was very honest in the descriptions (green beans are canned and the the fish is fresh- for them) and I just couldn 't tell her the fish wasn 't great when she took my plate of half eaten food away. One in our party of 4 had grilled chicken and raved about it. Another had the S&T with scallops and said they were delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the grilled shrimp. The restaurant has a neighborhood feel and many of the diners were local. All in all, I would go back. No pictures this time, but a staff of honest and hard working folks who seem to really care about their customers awaits anyone walking through their door.
Was my first time going there to just get food for dinner. I thought the rolls were amazing. They were so airy and nothing I had ever tasted before. My son and I got pasta dishes for dinner and as for my husband he got haddock. We have made this one of our soon to be dinner date ideal places.
