My favorite place to gather with family. They have Awesome food and the best bar! We had a great party for my parents 70th birthday and they made it so easy to plan. They took the lead on the food and delivered a great menu that made everyone happy. Thanks again for it making it such a special event.
We stopped in at the Doherty Hotel's Tavern for appetizers and a cocktail. The atmosphere was lovely and the portions were large! We had the fried pickles which were the best I've had anywhere. The calamari was prepared perfectly. I highly recommend!
My experience was with their Irish Pub where I had a business lunch. The service was exceptional and the location in downtown Claire Michigan is perfect as a mid point between Leelanau Township and Wayne Township. We shared an appetizer (rich onionrings) and I enjoyed their fish taco (okay, not so Irish) but was tasty.
The rooms were nice but nothing fancy.. Several of us called ahead to check on check in time because we needed to change for a wedding. Then when we arrived many of us in our large group had to wait up to 2 hours (5 o?clock) to check in. The rooms didn?thave coffee pots or ice buckets or even cups for a drink of water . In the morning there was a coffee pot in the center with nocups a sm pitcher of warm milk that looked like it had been there all night. For the price of the rooms I feel there shouldhave been some little extras. Also a several guests were NOT given their gift bags from the bride groom when checking in.Disappointed!
Stopped for lunch while we charged at the supercharger on-site. The hot sandwiches were terrific! Meatloaf was thick and tasty. Turkey was moist and plentiful. Both served over bread with real mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. Service was prompt andpleasant. Prices very reasonable. $12 for the hot sandwiches with mashed potatoes and gravy.
