Delicious food for valentine! the best meal we had in the old one. the personal was great and very attentive. bern here a few times recently and can not blame! they would be very happy!

Amazing cheesecake shame it was walnut and not pecan nut

I was part of a large group of 18, which had dinner at the Rising Sun. My prawn bruschetta starter, and chicken main course, were delicious! Energetic friendly waitress did really well, as it's difficult handling a large group, getting everyone the right food. Cotes du Rhone red wine was superb, waitress told me the landlord had brought it back from France in his own car. Only disappointment was the banoffee pie, which was horrible more banana cake, so the 3 of us who had it complained got a no quibble refund on that item, which we appreciated. I would suggest this item is dropped from the menu and replaced with a proper banoffee pie. That's a minor detail though, my overall impression was very positive, and I *highly recommend* the Rising Sun, as a pleasant, well run pub/restaurant. I think it has some B B rooms too?

Popped in Last night just for a drink as other past visits have been nice 2 young members of staff on male very pleasant young girl definitely in the wrong job, foul mouthed (f word) no customer service skills whatsoever, small complaint from a couple who'd just eaten and didn't care attitude to gentleman who wanted food (too late) Won't be rushing back or recommending..... Service: 1

Had an amazing sunday lunch today. Absolutely huge. Service was brill and staff were very friendly. Will definitely visit again Service: 5 Location: 5
