Wonderful stay gorgeous hotel, the rooms were amazing the room with the bath was so welcome after a long wet walk! Food was delicious in the restaurant, lovely areas to relax Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Second time we’ve stayed at the DRD. Despite the gorgeous Cotswold decor and good menu (although overpriced for sure! receptionist offish and lacking interpersonal skills. A rate was agreed and emailed as confirmation and on arrival had increased. When I questioned this she said the person taking the booking had made a mistake. I explained this wasn’t my fault and I had booked based on an agreed rate. Bizarrely, on arrival, she was on the phone having a similar conversation with someone regarding their booking. First time we stayed we had a problem too but liked the hotel enough to return. Although they pride themselves on a relaxed but sophisticated atmosphere, they need to address the way they deal with customer service as charging the prices they do, they need to provide a good standard of service and ensure they make gestures for errors on their part. Coming from London and staying at various Cotswold hotels over the years, this is the worst in making things better when there is an issue. Rooms: 4 Service: 2 Location: 4

The Double Red Duke was on the top of our Cotswolds experience. The hotel and the restaurant are, for me, the perfect representation of Cotswolds. The food was wonderful, the room was pretty and cosy, the people were so nice! You are doing such a great job with this place, congratulations ! I can't wait to be back. Acknowledged and seated immediately. Kitchen already aware of dietaries. Margaritas were strong and salty. Service was bouncy and attentive. Food was sublime. Bill wasn’t heartstopping. Staff were super engaging and plentiful. A refreshing and absolutely joyful Saturday. Setting the standard in joined up hospitality Just go. Service: 5
