A bit disappointing. My chicken burger consisted of three tiny, over cooked, chicken nuggets and a piece of lettuce, drenched in mayo. The cheese fries was a very small serving. Left restaurant feeling hungry. A tiny glass of white wine was €6. Very disappointed.

When I a... read more We asked for two small (piccola) draft beers (alla spina). When offered choices, since I am not familiar with brands I said whatever is the most local. When I asked for the check the just told me how much to pay (no bill) and it came back as 250% the price in the menu. They argued it was non comercial beer. I said this was not correct. There was no place in the menu (very detailed and many pages long) with that kind of price for a beer. I end up paying 2x the price of what I asked for but it is not just about the money it was the intention to deceive. If you sell it it should be in the menu like the rest of the items (particularly if the price is 2.5 times of the alternative choices you are offering). Maybe 40 years ago this kind if attitude of trying to deceive/scam tourists was a way of living but this days it is ridiculous treating people like stupids and it is a sure bet to kill your business and business in the area. My learning after a few hours in Civitavecchia…if you are in a cruise don’t waste your time in Civitavecchia either go to Rome or stay at the ship and enjoy the weather. This could be unfair with other businesses but this is how these little bad details condition a visitor. Very surprising people with a business do not understand this basic reaction. Trying to give explanations to the above would be continuing to treat people like stupid. Enough.

The burgers are among the best I've ever had: homemade brioche bun, incredibly soft yet resistant to the meat's juices, fresh and flavorful meat, never dry, and artisanal sauces that truly make the difference. Even the fried foods (fries in our case, in two varieties are crispy and dry, nothing like the usual frozen products (like the ones at McDonald's across the street . Another plus: we arrived after 10:00 PM, and despite the late hour, the kitchen was still open. Friendly service, a well-kept restaurant, and a relaxed atmosphere.
