I enjoyed a simple meal of pasta (pappardelle al cinghiale with wild boar a Tuscan specialty although we were technically in Viterbro Province. It was wonderful. Service was good in this small, cozy restaurant. Franco and his staff are kind and attentive. View all feedback.
What TheCavaliereNero doesn't like about Trattoria Antico Forno:
My friend and I went to eat there for a late lunch after a suggestive walk in Civita di Bagnoregio and we ordered pasta with truffle sauce and meat with truffles and mushrooms. I have to admit food was not that good but overall it is a cute place for a stop...I suggest you to order pasta though! Cheap and decent View all feedback.
Visited Civita Di Bagnoregio with my husband and 3 girls. We ate at this restaurant-the owner was very quick to point out his photos with Rick Steves on the wall. Food was very average, but wine and service ok. We had wanted to each choose a meal, however the owner advised us the Tourist Menu was very good, and the price was for 2 people. He suggested we order 2 of the Tourist Menus, and share the meals between the 5 of us, to which we agreed. When it came time to pay the bill, the waitress charged us for 5 Tourist Menus. My husband questioned this, much to the disdain of the waitress. Whilst this exchange was going on, the owner stayed out the back, and wouldn't come into the restaurant to sort it out. In the end, €15 was taken off the bill. The waitress was most unhappy, and we felt we had been duped. Visit this magnificent site, but eat elsewhere.

I liked the spot and food they offer. There are meat meals along traditional pastas. We ordered a grilled beef with porcini mushrooms and enjoyed the meal.

Very disappointing--this was a Rick Steve 's recommended restaurant, and his pictures were on the walls and featured on the menu. The restaurant is small with less than 30 diners. There were 3 servers, but the service was poor, and we received our food piecemeal so that we were in the restaurant 3 hours for lunch. When the food did come, it was of poor quality. The scallops turned out to be veal--we think. Go to this incredible place, but find a different restaurant.
