Caffe San Marco - CIVIDALE DEL FRIULI

Bar in the central area well furnished in a questionable way even if cozy under the headquarters of the municipality in a building of the xiii century very popular by tourists and locals. available and professional staff, coffee below average.

We had a long trip to cividale and were looking forward to a good glass wein and relax. it was a hot day and this restaurant /bar was opposite the parking place, looked nice, so we thought it would try! sat down...nothing....Waited and wait...nothing saw them the waiter (bigger with badly bleached hair) with his friends and then serve other tables. He tried to shake him on the 10-minute mark and still ignored us. so it ended to go inside and grab us a menu. we then went in to order us as a bad waiter who still ignored us, not even a confirmation. note in this time the waiter menus had delivered and order from 3 other 'local' tabs. prawan inside delivered our wein after another long wait. getting the bill was just as painful. not even this waiter smiles or looks professional. How does anyone in the hospitality work with such a disgusting ugly attitude? if they are a tourist, they do not go here, they do not want their money or business, because they are 'local' friendly only. cordial gratitude that we have just traveled 10 countries, visited over 60 restaurants in the last 7 weeks and they are the clear winner of the 'wurst and rudest establishment'

Cividale del fruiuli is located about 30 km from bovec, Slovenia and is the round trip to dinner and worth a walk through the old town. my family had a cheap pizza dinner at primo amore, on the parking space for our car rental near to find. Later...we had coffee at caffe san marco on their outside terrace. what a wonderful location on the old town square, statue of julias caesar and all!

Café san marco has a perfect location in the heart of cividale, near the cathedrale and not far from the museum. it has two parts. one is partly covered garden under arches and second part is interior with some tables and chairs and long line of seating at the counter – for fast coffee or short drink. the service is correct, but nothing special. the locals meet here and this is not a place only for touists.

A small piece of venice directly at the main crossing of the inner city of cividale. there is a large spacious veranda that is perfect to enjoy an aperol splash on a hot afternoon. faster and friendly service and very popular with locals. so comfortable and friendly that...it feels more like a market or living room than a bar.
