We had lunch at Caffe Longobardo while visiting Cividale for the day. The terrazza on piazza Paolo Diacono is worth the stop in itself. The cafe itself is nice and modern and the staff was friendly and attentive. We had small sandwiches and coffee, they were nice and reasonably priced considering the location. View all feedback.
What carinadiamond doesn't like about Caffe Longobardo:
During our stay in Cividale we'd stop here every afternoon for a glass of wine or Aperol spritz, and a hot chocolate on a rainy day. Sometimes even back again later in the evening. It's comfortable both inside and outside which overlooks a small piazza where you can watch the world go by. View all feedback.
A cividale coffee longobard is almost an institution. is one of the most famous and even more refined historic cafes. is a great choice for breakfast (good choice of pastries) and for a quick snack and a relaxing evening aperitif. after admiring the beautiful palace in which it is housed, you can choose to sit at a table outside on the beautiful square or, if the temperatures are too rigid, at one of the interiors. There is also a nice room on the first floor that gives on the square.
A lovely little coffee bar in the main piazza with excellent table service, a huge selection of pastries and very good coffee. We started our day here many times!
Caffe Longobardo was refurbished some time ago. What remained was the historic building on the Piazza Paolo Diacono, the center of Cividale and the large outdoor seating area, with a view on the historic square. Inside the appointments are modern and spacious. Here you can sit down for a coffee and food and watch the life on Piazza Diacono. Coffee is OK, prices are reasonable, service of the staff was adequate.
I stopped by here on the recommendation of a friend who knows how much I like beer. They had a couple of beers that are brewed not too far from here, in Forni, and the one I had was dee-licious! It's a nice place to relax, too, right on a piazza. Definitely worth checking out if you find yourself visiting this lovely little town.
Caffe Longobardo is situated in an ancient building at the historic central square in Cividale, Piazza Diacono. It is since many years one of the mainstays in Central Cividale for enjoying a coffee, wine, Crodino, sandwich and more, while watching street life of Cividale. So when we were in charming Cividale again, straight to Caffe Longobardo for a relaxing coffee and sandwich at one of the outdoor tables. Caffe Longobardo must do something right, because there was not much choice of tables left. And indeed, prompt service, good coffee, nice sandwiches and a happy time. To be recommended.
