It is a little off the beaten track, but worth it. It is a basic looking place, no tablecloths, airs or graces, but the food does all the talking anyway. If you are missing a bit of honest Peruvian fare, come here. Service was excellent too. My kind of place - the food counts first. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Flor de la Canela:
This restaurant is 8 blocks out of mendoza and opens at 9 pm. We had high expectations for fresh and authentic Peruvian food but left disappointed. We had the fish cerviche mixta as an entrée, which was nice but the mains of hake and potatoes and octopus fried rice was below average. It cost 340 peso, which is expensive. Would not come here again so consider whether it's worth the effort of getting out there. View all feedback.
The owners are those who prepare for eating. I did not expect to find so many original albums in the center of mendoza. bravo.
This restaurant is 8 blocks from mendoza and opens at 21 o'clock. we had high expectations of fresh and authentic Peruvian food, but remained disappointed. we had the fish-cerviche mixta as derée, which was nice, but the main thing of hek and kartoffeln. and oktopus fried rice was below average. it costs 340 peso, which is expensive. would not come back here again, so consider if it was worth getting out.
This is a small, not unusual restaurant with very tasty traditional Peruvian food. price is good and eating is wonderful.
It is a little off the beaten track, but it is worth it. it is a basic place, no tablecloths, air or pardons, but eating makes the conversation anyway. if they are missing a little honest Peruvian farewell, they come here. service was excellent...too my type of place where the food counts.
After steak overload in Argentina, we were looking for a change! As other reviews have mentioned, first impressions of the restaurant are slightly offputting- and we were the only customers there! However the service was fast and the waitress was helpful, even with our basic...Spanish. The main dishes with rice were tasty and filling and whilst the ceviche mixto we shared had excellent (spicy) flavouring, the seafood quality wasn't good. Overall a cheap filling meal and a nice change from meat, but not the best meal we had in Mendoza.
