Cafe Restaurant Socrates

At first glance, the restaurant, service and food looks good. But we quickly realized that the place is a complete demolition. We ordered steaks with salad medium. They brought a shoe sole instead of the steak that we cut in front of the waiters and said this was boiled through. She apologized and brought another steak and it was cooked again. When it came to pay, we just made a comment that the steaks were unacceptably overtaken when we made it very clear, we want mid-grilled steaks. The waiter began to argue that we do not know what medium is and that in Argentina medium means what it brought boiled though. We were annoyed first, the food was not good, then we were insulted as they told us, we don't know what we ordered. So ladies and gentlemen, apparently "medium" means actually a cooked by meat. Also the salad was 5 leaves and a few tomatoes that was extremely expensive. 1 star for this restaurant because of badly expensive! Eating and insulting us and saying we're wrong. PS my family lives in Buenos Aires, so the conversation was all in Spanish, so no misunderstanding occurred, no one was lost in translation.

I visited Socrates with my girlfriend and my brother and possibly had one of the longest visits ever. I was here for about 10 hours drinking beer and eating. We came early and ordered an ice cream coffee with ice and my girlfriend loved it. It was so good that my friend ordered another one the night. Then my brother appears and the beer begins to drink. We ordered about a dozen bottles of Stella Artois and the markup was a bit much. Luckily we have some nuts and chips with any other order to make the price a little pale. The service was pretty good. I mean, we've been there for 10 hours, the staff gave us a lot of attention. A finger upstairs wanted to give me another beer. The outside seats are beautiful, but the seats are not particularly comfortable for 10 hours. We also ordered a large pizza to share and it was pretty good, but like most things in the restaurant it was a bit expensive. When it was time to pay, I was super surprised that they did not accept credit cards. A place where these overprices should accept credit cards. But this place is slain. There was a ton of people here the most time I was there and the staff was very nice. The bathrooms are clean and it was a nice corner to watch.

Situated on a very beautiful corner, this beautifully decorated restaurant offers a variety of portions. Can be a little expensive, but it's worth it anyway.
