What a wonderful little Gem here in the city of Rochester. AUTHENTIC Caribbean style food at a VERY decent price.I felt like I went to my moms house and I was catered to. Nice Job guys! I’ll be back here.

I had j chicken for the first time last month in N.J. Since, I have been back home in Rochester I have been trying to replicate the experience. I went to People 's Choice today. The owner is so sweet and welcoming. That is so lacking in customer service of today. You 're usually met with a gnarl and disdain. I 'll definitely be back just for the customer service.I purchased a j chicken dinner with 2 sides. Very affordable $16. The chicken was delicious and very flavorful. I wish the j had more kick, but she said she makes it little people friendly .Smart business move if you ask me. She offers different levels of sauces to add more heat if you desire. I tried one on the side. Very delicious. She offered brown sauce on my rice. Which people never ask. The rice and peas were meh, but the brown sauce was good. The mac and cheese was tasty. The collard greens are a little on the sweet side for me. However I 'm sensitive to sweetness as I favor the savory side of things. I went around lunch time and I don 't think I waited more than a 10 minutes, if that and my food was piping hot! It was still warm when I got to work which is 10 minutes away. I was so pleased with my overall experience. I would definitely suggest this restaurant to anyone looking to satisfy their hankering for Caribbean food.I don 't have any pictures because I was too busy eating.

Food was absolutely not satisfying! Everything was sweet, rice was stale and greens was horribly sweet. I do not recommend. Prices are high for not good food and quality.

I had this a few weeks ago and can honestly say there hasn’t been a day since that I haven’t thought about how good it was. The only thing better than the food was the owner. Plus their mission of paying it forward for those that might not be able to afford the food… *chef’s kiss* Check them out, you won’t be disappointed

I really wanted to write a review based on this particular experience I had. I came here a couple of months ago looking to only get some Patties because people’s choice only accepts cash and no card so I figured that’s all I had enough to get. The owner was so kind she insisted on giving me a meal. I guess they really are what they promote themselves to be ! The food was great, and I love to support great people !
