Cool atmosphere with a high end menu. Indoor and outdoor seating with a fantastic view of the river particularly at sunset. Features a full bar and looks as though they host weddings etc. We’ve had a couple of nice dinners here and will be back. LOVED the steamers and French onion soup! View all feedback.
What Chris doesn't like about Gran-view On The River:
Manager was very rude to a table of 10 celebrating a college graduate. Food was not worth the price… Very under seasoned. No reason for a restaurant to say they have “Jamaican J Chicken” if they don’t know how to make J Chicken at all. There’s so much more that can be nitpicked, but I wouldn’t recommend unless you’ll like the summertime view from the patio. View all feedback.
Always a fine meal beverage here! Rivals any meal I've had in Massachusetts or New York. Great attentive but inobtrusive service.
Great food and good prices! Recommend the seared ahi tuna.
A unique eating experience may be had at The Gran View in New York, a hidden gem. This charming restaurant is tucked away along the riverfront and offers stunning views and a mouthwatering menu that guarantees an unforgettable gastronomic experience. You are immediately impressed by the tranquil beauty of the surroundings as you get closer to The Gran View. The roomy outdoor dining area is furnished with cozy chairs and umbrellas, making it the ideal place to have a leisurely lunch and take in the breathtaking river views.Let's now discuss the food, which is the main attraction. The menu at The Gran View is a combination of traditional American fare and inventive culinary creations, all made with fresh, regional ingredients.

We arrived during happy hour and took advantage of the specials. I had the haddock and my wife the chicken parm. I expected smaller portions due to the early special but was surprised by the full portions. The only thing that was slightly below my expectations was the Creme brulee, was ok but missing the mark.
