Just be prepared for a slower dining experience, as the kitchen is quite small and they serve your food as it’s ready, one dish at a time. I recommend coming with a smaller group to be seated more quickly, as there are only about ten tables and a few bar seats. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, but make sure not to bring your iced lattes from outside; they’re not very fond of that. View all feedback.

Shopsins offers unique pancake flavors, but overall, the pancakes themselves are underwhelming. They lack fluffiness and don’t have a crispy outer layer. Additionally, the specialty flavors aren't very bold. It was a disappointing experience considering the price point. View all feedback.
As for the food, the burger was a perfect 10/10, and the fries were exceptional, earning a 20/10. However, the Loco Moco was a bit underwhelming at 6.5/10; it had a single flavor that could use more seasoning and a bolder kick. The latkes were decent, rated at 7/10, and the mac and cheese pancakes were quite good at 8/10. Despite some of the food being a bit lacking in flavor, I would still consider coming back!

I always have a great experience at this restaurant! With so many intriguing and delicious options, it can be tough to make a choice, but everything I've tried so far has been fantastic, so you can’t go wrong with anything you order! The service is excellent, and the atmosphere at Essex Market is lovely. If you encounter a line, it's definitely worth the wait! You absolutely have to try the pancakes! Food: 5/5
We came for the pancakes! And also got the poutine which was soo yummy. Ok, pancakes ranked (1 best, 6 hell no):#1. Cinnamon, 2. Butterscotch chip 3. Mac n cheese 4. White chocolate chip 5. Pecan 6. Dulce LecheWished I tried more. But really, I came for the mac n cheese pancakes. They’re not super cheesy AT ALL. In fact it’s very subtle until you get to the middle of the pancakes. I can see myself snacking on one as a treat but probably won’t order it for a meal again. It’s worth trying though! And it does taste good. The raspberry iced tea wasn’t sweetened, which worked out in the end with all those pancakes!I’d you’re dining in, it’s a small space so you might need to a wait on line a little. The staff is super sweet.
Perfect perfect perfect. Staff were amazing, food was delicious and despite it being so small we were never rushed even when others were waiting. A must for anyone visiting.
