Moishe's on 2nd Avenue. On the Lower East Side, looking for great Kosher baked goods, Moishe's on 2nd Aveune is the place; supplement the goodies with Italian baked goods, then it's Veniero's on 11th Street and First Avenue. Can't go wrong with either place; so visit both when in the neighborhood,. You'll like. View all feedback.

Awesome. I tried two different pastries here (napoleon, strudel). I do not live in NYC (may change) but if I did, I would consider living on the lower east side JUST for this bakery. The breads in the windows look wonderful...the variety of pastries here would take years to fully sample and appreciate. I'm hungry thinking about this place.
This landmark is an original. Although they may not bake on the premises their pastries are always fresh and tasty!
Really good babka and the sweetest family selling it. Cash only, but they have an ATM!
This is the best family owned kosher Jewish bakery in New York City. The staff is very friendly and you can order in pounds, half pounds, and quarter pounds. It’s a delightful little place. Every sign written in the store is handwritten by the family. The newspaper is also free here. Some kind locals from nearby retirement homes come and visit the family quite often. A very welcoming place. I recommend it.
