If you want good Chinese food in the LES side, this is the place to go. We went during happy hour and the dumplings was $1/each, we got 2 different types and they were both great. Also ordered some Mapo Tofu, veggies, shrimp fried rice. All were excellent. Tofu was in big chunks, taste great for tofu lovers. Shrimp fried rice was my favorite. What Audrey Stromberg doesn't like about Kings County Imperial Les:
i got salt and pepper tofu and szechuan cabbage take out, and sadly it is so baffling bad that i'm reviewing it. the tofu is 22 dollars yet tough and flavorless, and the cabbage, too, tastes of nothingFood: 1/5 View all feedback.
Scallion chicken buns have 3 in the photo but only came with 2, a little misleading and the general Taos was a little dry and bland. Not my favorite of their dishes but we will be back and try more.
Worst Mapo Dofu and Dan Dan noodle. I don't know if these are paid for fake reviews but I'm a fat pig that spends thousands of dollars a month on Doordash and this has to be the worst Chinese food presented with the best foodie pic filter app I have seen in my life. I am currently sitting in the toilet praying to the Chinatown gods to let me squeeze it all out.
The food was really good and our server was nice. But the evening was spoiled at the end when the owner rushed us to leave so he could seat another party (we had been there under an hour and there were other open tables). We were forced to quickly finish our drinks and leave.
This was one of my favorite places but they no longer have what I always ordered. The szechuan oyster mushrooms and the Bruxo Mezcal For a vegetarian it was one of the few things I can get that I really liked.
Wow, this place is good. It has a very cozy, warm feel inside, it feels very New York City. Everything we ordered was delicious, the absolute must is the Wok Seared Long Dumplings. They are very large, so it might be tough for two people to share if you're looking to try a lot of different dishes here. My only con was that it was tough to get the waiter's attention at times during the meal.
