I enjoyed the beyond burger and sweet potatoes. the new landlord (I think he's the main owner for now) is friendly, but he only begins to learn about vegan eating and does not seem to be convinced that vegan eating can be really good. he plans to change the menu to the end of the month, including the addition of non- vegan foods. if you have a chance, grab some food and give it your feedback and taps. the sweets come... What User doesn't like about Jordan Pie Cafe:
I am always excited when a new vegan site opens, especially uptown, as we have very few compared to the city. I'm with a friend on a weekday morning at 10 o'clock. I wanted tee, black or green, they had nothing. the poor girl at the theke did the best she could, but obviously had no service experience, hardly spoke English and was very badly treated by the owner. the energy was definitiw and unpleasant. the coffee wa... Delicious pastries, tea and avocado toast. Good value and nice setting. A little hidden jewel!
Located in East Harlem, this vegan venue offers things like vegan burgers, felafel, sandwiches, desert and coffee, and a number of items with a Jordanian twist, such as Za'tar pie. They have a friendly staff, and the restaurant has an attractive interior with a bunch of seats. You order at the counter, then eat at one of the various tables. The food is delicious.
I enjoyed the falafel burger, mushroom berries, thumbprint cookie, and strawberry cake. Everything was tasty except for the cake, which was as dry as a rock. This is an update based on my previous review from February 11, 2022.
The pastries, tea, and avocado toast were absolutely delicious. It's great value for the quality you receive, all set in a lovely atmosphere. A true hidden gem!
I had a great experience with the Beyond Burger and sweet potatoes. The new landlord, who seems to be the main owner for now, is friendly but is still learning about vegan cuisine. He doesn't seem fully convinced that vegan food can be delicious. He plans to update the menu by the end of the month, which will include some non-vegan options. If you get a chance, I recommend trying some food and sharing your feedback. The desserts are from Sensitive Edibles, but keep in mind that not all of them are vegan—I accidentally bought a mini cake that contained ice cream and milk! The vegan peanut crunch cookie was decent, though a bit on the dry side. This review updates my previous one from June 6, 2022.
