The food is consistently delicious and affordably priced! They also make fantastic milkshakes. I've dined here numerous times and have never been disappointed. The portion sizes are generous for the price! View all feedback.
What William Choe doesn't like about Cibao:
I rly want to like this place. I really do. Last 2 times I came they got my order wrong, and I wasn’t able to communicate what happened to the employees. Menu and ordering is also confusing because the only place their menu is is at the door, and last few times I went in no one was at the counter to take orders. Besides that, lunch special is a good deal but it’s mainly rice and beans but it’s fair for the price. View all feedback.
Cibao Restaurant is a Dominican restaurant located on Clinton Street in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. I visited Cibao Restaurant with a friend visiting the US from the DR and ordered the Dominican favorite Pollo Guisado con Moro. This dish is made with stewed chicken, black beans, and rice and served with fried plantains.West African and Dominican cuisines share similarities in using rice, beans, and plantains, which are fundamental components of their traditional dishes. And so this made it an easy go-to meal to order. The Pollo Guisado con Moro was delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the black beans and rice were flavorful and well-seasoned. The fried plantains were also a great addition to the dish. The service at Cibao Restaurant was also excellent. The owner was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, I had a good experience at Cibao Restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was amazing, and the prices were very reasonable. I absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in authentic Dominican/Caribbean cuisine.Pros:Authentic Dominican cuisineDelicious foodOutstanding serviceReasonable pricesCons:The restaurant can be crowdedSeating is limited
Very juice chicken, the beans are very tasty, even the empanadas even they small but they really full of flavor even the vegetables one.

Really small cramped spot but the food is really good. Service is usually good unless they're packedWheelchair accessibility: A wheelchair would not fit inside
The food is good. I have to give it credit. A perfect Dominican place to eat. It's been there for 30+ yrs.
