Dehn's Country Manor

We went for dinner. There was 9 of us. We made a reservation ahead of time. The waitress did warn us the kitchen was backed up when we ordered. Which was fine. We weren't in a giant hurry. However, the restaurant was probably half full so I wasn't expecting a 90 minute wait for food. We had two kids with us that ordered off the kids menu and another ordered a burger. Otherwise the rest was shrimp and fish. Nothing that should really take super long. My wifes salmon was overdone and her broccoli side was undercooked. I had the fried walleye. It was alright. The hashbrowns were good. The dinner rolls were good. The salad was just OK. The waitress was definitely trying her best and even went in the kitchen to help. Just a bummer to spend money on food and have it be subpar. Especially waiting for as long as we did. Granted we were given a heads up but I don't think the waitress even thought it would have been that long. One positive is that apparently you can bring your own booze. They do serve wine and beer.

Food was good. Had an apricot glazed salmon. It was cooked fine. Chose steamed broccoli as a side, and it was uniquely served in a large piece, perfectly tender-crisp and pretty. The side salad was uninspired and basic, but it was fresh. Service was friendly and fast. It was not busy while we were there, and prompt service was to be expected, but the friendly attitude was exceptional and welcoming. Atmosphere was very basic. Tables in a room in a bar on one side. It was clean, but just a bit plain. Dietary restrictions: Am on a restricted diet, but found an acceptable option on the menu and the staff was able to accommodate some small requests (i.e.: no butter).

Old style supper club. Great food... even better service!

I eat here as often as possible! Gives old school family vibes. The food and service have always been fantastic. I suggest the prime rib it is generous size and delicous. Support family owned restaraunts like this!!!!! and skip the big corporate chains all together.
