A lunch place for sushi connoisseurs. Their “Tsuru taster” consisting of 2 salmon nigiri, a tuna nigiri, a tiger prawn nigiri, a seabass nigir, a tamago nigiri, 2 salmon avocado uramaki and a crab avocado uramaki was just exquisite (I was met with many “food envy” stares during my lunch Pricing is also very very good (the aforementioned platter is £7.25), despite the significant jump in quality. A must try for those... View all feedback.

I love working near Spitalfields Market, partly because it means my commutes are short and mostly because the food options are about ten thousand times better than they were at Canary Wharf. Still I'm nothing if not a sorrow, and for a while I bemo View all feedback.
I agree with the previous comment that the standards seem to have decreased. It's a shame since this used to be decent. My personal experience is that the scotch katsu egg has drastically reduced in size without explanation. Excellent dish but very bad relationship now. A colleague mentioned that there was significantly less chicken with his katsu sandwich than before. It doesn't worry about these city chains trying to change when there are so many options in other places.
I used to be a regular at the tsuru branch in Southwark, which I think is now closed, and I used to love food there: it was always fresh, used high quality ingredients, hygiene standards used to be very high and friendly and efficient staff. I visited the bishopsgate branch and was impressed to see that everything was terribly down the table was sitting on it was sticky, the place seemed pretty dirty and the food was really disappointing with the neglected presentation. Staff members seemed that students could not be bothered to make any effort. Very unprofessional.
I always come here for a quick lunch when I had ramen or Japanese sushi wishes, curry. It is a fast Japanese joint fast food, however quality is good. I love ramen, lobster tempura and karaage chicken mushrooms. Good to come to eat fast and delicious.
I stopped by for lunch today and ordered the pork katsu curry as well as the chicken katsu curry.
I ordered chicken thigh curry with rice and was very satisfied. I'm not a big fan of curry sauce so I asked for it on the side and was surprised by the generous portion. I will definitely return when I'm craving chicken curry (or sushi or ramen).
