Contribute FeedbackSumosan, recently shifted to a new location on Sloane Road, has generated a spectrum of responses from diners. While dishes like the renowned lobster salad and flavorful California rolls received high praise, the consistency in quality remains a concern. Some patrons lamented over soggy tempura and disappointing sushi quality. Ambience and service varied, with some enjoying a vibrant atmosphere, while others faced issues with staff and seating arrangements. Notably, food safety became a severe issue for some, leading to food poisoning concerns. Overall, Sumosan showcases fresh ingredients, yet diners are advised to tread carefully regarding their orders.
Terrible eating, terrible service, incompetent administration. in the ground overpriced abuse if that's their thing for them go ..., there are so many better options
Brunch. I went to a lot of brunettes and was excited to see what the sumosan had to offer for 4 hours. the atmosphere was good, but it took a long time to get drinks and a few of the waiters were not so pleasant, with. Food: the sushi was nice and the steak was pretty, although quite fat. the fruit bowl dessert was tasty and somewhat different from the usual dessert they would choose. overall I expected a better service for £150 and does not have to hunt for drinks. also, after 3:30 were not able to order another drink as the bar was closed. that was frustrating as it meant that our last drink was at 3 and not exactly the 4 hours experience we had promised. but it was funny.
With friends to brunch. eating was really good. it was really quite loud to hear friends on the table and talk. our tablekeeper christopher was really good. he was very accommodating with one of my friends who was pregnant.
A group of us went to sumosan twiga. we went to the groundless brunch. it was £150 per person. the half of us did not get our food because it was at an end of the table everything. no body asked us if we wanted steak...pasta fish it was just tilted on the table. After 2 hours of groundless champagne it changed to 2 hours of groundless cocktails/wine/spirit and in this time we only got one drink and other drinks never came. the service was shocking. when we were to lay one of the waiters out of the members of our party, they cried when they were so rude to them. through our experience, £150 get them 4 glasses champagne, a few mouthful sushi, just the half of the table to a main and 1 cocktail and some that never arrive. In summary, it felt as if the business model is to get everyone drunk on champagne and hope they don't mind having their main thing or cocktails for which they have paid.
From a Friendly welcome to a tasty negroni, Sumosan is definitely a top pick for Knightsbridge’s too 3 nights out!
