The atmosphere at this restaurant is incredibly vibrant. Despite being a bit crowded and not particularly large, it still manages to maintain a special and welcoming ambiance, especially for tourists. Located right in front of Big Ben, by the Thames River, and directly across from Westminster Abbey, it is rare to find a more central pub in London to enjoy a pint and soak in the surroundings. Wuhuu, a middle age Pub, hosted prime ministers and bureacrats. In a rainy afternoon, walk along the Thames River, reach Big Ben and taste delicious fish and chips and Ale here. green chester sofa and old chairs. you are in a time machine
I visited 1 month ago, so I post late. The place has a great atmosphere, you really feel in London in this pub. The meal I ordered was lasagna with zucchini and squash, it was delicius, only a little spicy. In this pub I discovered that in England the salt and peppers pots are inverted. Sorry for my English in case of any mistakes.
Good beer, good service, nice ambience, but don't order the food. It was all prepacked and heated food, not hot and poor quality ingredients. Go to the frozen section of Iceland and save some money buying better food.
This amazing pub benefits from it's superb location, just across the road is the Big Ben and it's walking distance from the Westminster Pier. The typical old world charm of an English pub this place has decent pub food and a good selection of tipples. We went as a huge group on a busy evening but had booked tables in advance as you should do when you are going in a big group. In 2's and 3's it's ok to simply walk in.
