What ScotDav doesn't like about Purbani Wanstead:

Sticking raw chillies into a chilli nan does not make it a chilli nan. The main Bangladeshi meals were alright but it was afterwards when w... View all feedback. read morePurbani, a small Indian restaurant on Wanstead High Street, offers a nostalgic glimpse into the culinary landscape of the 1980s. While many patrons have praised its flavorful dishes, including the Chicken Tikka Biryani, some have encountered disappointing experiences. Critiques highlight inconsistency in food quality, service charge practices, and a lack of authentic depth in flavor, especially in vegetarian selections. However, loyal customers often commend the friendly service and reasonable prices, making it a beloved spot for those seeking Indian cuisine. Ultimately, Purbani presents a dichotomy of praise and critique, inviting diners to explore their own opinions.
Dreadful Takeaway: Tandoori chicken smelt 'off ' and tasted bad.Had to throw it away uneaten.Prawn puri was ok
