My trip to the City are few these days, but it was much quieter than I remembered and that was everywhere. This restaurant was known to our friends, for us the first time. The decor is a mix of old school like furniture, and bottles. Table tad small for six, especially as we ate tapas style, so several dishes crammed in. View all feedback.
What nicolestock doesn't like about Planet Of The Grapes:
Although I had booked this restaurant online two weeks prior and received an email confirming this reservation, it appears they had apparently had closed for the Xmas period. We were meeting a friend's son who had moved to London recently and thought we would treat him for a nice meal and some wine but ended up frantically trying to find another place to eat. Apart from being a little embarrased as it was our suggest... View all feedback.
Lové thé idea that you can choose a really tip top wine for great prices. Alongside the wine you can get some decent enough tapas. The wine concept is really à gréât concept and the food is good enough to compliment the wine, but perhaps without knocking your socks off. 5 stars anyway
I went there with my partner, having popped in a few times over the last 2-3 years. They serve exceptional wine although this time I opted for prosecco, my other half drank beer. I ordered roasted nuts to accompany my drink. For £5 I received a jar of salted nuts, mostly peanuts and was rather disappointed. I ordered the deep fried Brie and pardon peppers. The peppers were fine but the brie came as two small crumbed and fried slices served on pickled beetroot cubes. I really didn’t feel like I was getting £8 worth. It was a bit disappointing all in all.
This is a lovely little gem, relatively quiet given it was a Friday lunchtime in the city, and they served a great burger. We will be going back soon!

I popped by on a Friday lunchtime for a business lunch and the experience was pleasant but not especially memorable. The wine was really good, the tapas was ok, not bad, but not great and the choice was a little limited. The service was ok but nothing more. In my view there are better places in both the City and London generally.
