However, others praised the friendly staff, tasty meals, and good value for money. Patricia, in particular, received high praise for excellent service. Overall, it seems that the experience at Pizza Express can vary greatly depending on the time of day, the location, and the staff on duty. While some customers vowed never to return, others had a pleasant dining experience and would recommend the restaurant to others.
I highly recommend the lemon and herb chicken wings for starters, absolutely delicious! The company is great with intolerances for exams by serving gluten free pizzas on black slates. Also they had an allergen book on hand which includes everything down to each ingredient. Helpful staff. Price is reasonable. Will definitely be going to these restaurants again
Visited London for the day and my partner and I both had Margarita pizzas. The food was delicious and we had a lovely waiter but the hostess/Lady that seated us was so rude and made us feel very unwelcome. Would definitely recommend but just would have appreciated better service when we were seated.
Came here for a late lunch as we were in the area and had some vouchers to use. It was a nice getaway from the busy streets. It wasn’t a very busy time. Staff were attentive, efficient, courteous and friendly enough. Drinks are quite pricey but it’s a good deal overall if you have vouchers, so nothing to complain about in our case.
I paid 6 pound for a single slice of garlic bread that didn’t even taste of garlic at all. feel ripped off. next time give me actual garlic bread please
Upon arriving at this pizza express, we was standing there for a good 10mins before anyone came over to seat us. Then when we was seated we was on a random table by the disabled toilets and the staff back room. Also we was inches away from where the drinks were made up so had staff passing us every moment of our meal. One member of staff had a long blonde ponytail which was close a few to whipping us when getting her drinks sorted. Hair net was needed. The staff looked all miserable and there was no service with a smile. Apart from a new starter who’s first shift it clearly was. She was smoky. Just felt we wasn't welcome to be there! The meal it’s self was really nice and couldn’t have faulted it . However my partner did order chicken for his pizza but came without and wasn’t rectified as it was too busy apparently and the chefs don’t look at the orders well (our waitress told us this) We was very rushed in and out within an hour and as soon as we was done with desserts our bill was on the table no ask for after coffee more drinks. Felt very off putting and very disappointing for a restaurant in the heart of London. £62 was our meal total and I won’t be returning! Awful just awful service!
