I may not be one to follow trends, but I finally decided to give it a try. The Nordic Bakery is a wonderful place to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee, savor a sandwich or a cinnamon bun, and read a few chapters of a book. I decided to try the pickled herring and egg sandwich, which was an interesting combination that worked surprisingly well - the tenderness of the herring paired with a tangy dressing, and I loved the addition of boiled eggs in my sandwich, reminding me of my school days. The latte came in a generously sized cup and was excellent. While the coffee was just okay, the delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and overall ambiance of the place made up for it. If Fernandez and Wells can do it, then so can the Nordic Bakery. Another great sandwich option in the area is Paul Rothe and Son.
