We went in after a boat cruise and good walk. Feeling peckish, we tried 2 different sandwiches w/a cup of coffee and cold drink. The bread of the sandwich was excellent. Felt so fresh and tasty. A bit like a sandwich in France, which is always a happy memory. There is seating inside and out and has lovely big windows allowing light and view. Feel good spot for a break in the day. What MariaF5168 doesn't like about Paul:
While the stand of food looked appealing, the rolls were dry, we were given saucers to put our food on and having cooked many a scone during COVID lockdown I think I am able to judge them. The scones came to the table frozen!!! When sent back they toasted them! You toast tea cakes. The tea was ok. The waiting staff were lovely. View all feedback.
I popped into the restaurant to grab a couple of sandwiches for lunch and really enjoyed them. I highly recommend checking it out.
The salad was excellent and the cappuccino was delicious. The prices were very reasonable. I recommend this place for a quick lunch. Just note that there are only tables available outside.
Do not buy tea from this outlet. It was no more than a hot watery cream liquid with little tea content. If you are looking for a cup of proper tea shop elsewhere
I went here with my son for a quick bite and a coffee. I ordered three mini doughnuts to eat in and was told by the server it would only be a few pence extra to buy five, so I took up his offer. However he deliberately left out the eat-in surcharge so it was around £1.50 extra. I felt cheated already. The cappuccino I ordered was not good and had only a tiny amount of steam milk. When I asked for it to be remade, the girl serving muttered loudly that she'd never been asked to remake a coffee before. One of her colleagues told her to shush but she did it deliberately within my earshot. I let it go but her arrogance was shocking. I will avoid this place in the future.
I visited while going to see St. Paul's Cathedral and it was one of the food highlights of my trip! I ordered a caramel latte and a chocolate croissant and both were absolutely delicious! I had stopped on one of my first days in the city and I talked about how good both the coffee and croissant was for the rest of my trip! When visiting St. Paul's this is the perfect location to stop for a quick snack and coffee break before or after the visit! I definitely recommend stopping by this location or any of their other locations while visiting London!
