What Carin de K doesn't like about Morpeth Arms:
Everything was pleasant enough but I give the experience only three stars because of the poor state of the crudites that came with the pea hummus I ordered. The hummus and bread was fine but the veggies didn't look fresh at all and the cucumber was inedible. Otherwise the beef roast, sausages and chips my friends ordered were good. View all feedback.
Melanie was the biggest sweetheart. She made our lunch at the Arms amazing. After a tour of the beers they brought out our fantastic food. Our appetizers of sausage roles and tomato/buffalo cheese was wonderful. Bangers and mash and burgers were the best we had on this trip. Can’t say enough about the staff here going way above and beyond. Thanks for everything.
Closed the disabled entry for the queens lying in state until sat. So we went for lunch here instead .Lovely pub, we had the platter to share and 2 small plates with chips for 4 of us. All served quickly and nice and hot , but not impressed with the cheesy chips ! Apart from that would definitely eat here again .
Beautiful spot! We visited on a peaceful Sunday afternoon and had an amazing experience. I was intrigued by the pub's history and the famous ghosts that supposedly haunt the place. The bartender was lovely and even offered to show me around the basement for a ghost hunting tour. We will definitely be returning!
I had a wonderful time at this amazing pub with a fantastic variety of ales. The Proper Job IPA I had tonight was excellent. The place has an interesting history and is rumored to be haunted. I can't wait to return and explore the Spy Room.
It's a wonderful pub. AMAZING history and fantastically fabulous staff who even gave us a tour of the tunnels under the pub convicts were takes thought o ships to Australia. Plus gorgeous food. What's not to adore? Thanks
