this is my favorite thai restaurant in london and I, when someone visits me, I always take them to this place. I am vegetarian, so the most important cure options are limited for me (just red thai curry and tofu pad thai,) but both dishes are so delicious and perfectly cooked that I continue back. ambience is beautiful at the evenings, but during the midday it can be overfilled. What User doesn't like about Monkey Me:
I had the experience to visit this place with some of my colleagues and found nothing extraordinary here. the ambiente is good and the service is also decent, but the disappointment for me was eating. my starter was partly uncooked and the main dish was tasteless and so I felt that the quality of the food was not so good, but my colleagues enjoyed eating. Food was really good and the staff was really nice. My green curry was a bit bland, and my friends' pad thai were not spicy at all, so flavor-wise, I guess it is adapted a bit for the local taste
My boss took me here for my birthday. We all loved the food…so tasty!
Great food but unfortunately price increase by 20%. Was perhaps a bit cheap before but 20% increase is too much now. Stopped going.
Early dinner booking 6pm with only one other table occupied yet the service was abysmal. Ordered one starter and two mains and only the starter and one main came out together 15 minutes before my main course. I requested the other main was reheated but the waitress was dismissive. My tofu was undercooked. Despite an almost £10 service charge automatically added onto our bill when I was paying at our table our waitress turned her back on us and greeted a friend who had just arrived and also with another waitress were chatting to their friend. This is the first time we have had no acknowledgement when paying our bill and no-one saying goodbye to us when we left. A service charge has to be earned and sadly service was lacking at this restaurant.
It’s very good but £16 for Green curry take away is too much! Probably worth more to eat in
