Patrons commend the attentive service and expertly crafted dishes, including standout starters and main courses that are well-balanced and not overly sauced, creating a refreshing departure from typical offerings. Though some visitors have noted fluctuating experiences over the years, the overall atmosphere is inviting, with private dining areas conducive to social gatherings. Whether enjoying a special occasion or a casual meal, this establishment remains a notable choice for those craving fine Indian dining paired with delightful cocktails.
I came with my wife, the cocktails are excellent and the food was even better. they take an interesting view of Indians with ingredients like brain, rabbit and crumbs. are generous and all dishes have a beautiful heat.
Having been spoilt for choice amongst many of the acclaimed Indian restaurants in London, this did not meet all expectations. The food was good, however it was nothing breathtaking compared with Amaya, Veeraswamy or even Masala Zone for Indian palate. Perhaps the expectations were too high... Anyway, the ambience was that closer to a bar/lounge place where dance anthems were played far too loudly for normal conversation. The service was great and staff very helpful when being asked questions about their wine list. I would go again, but not for a sophisticated occasion such as a birthday/anniversary. More for general catch ups with friends before stepping out to Piccadilly/Leicester Square which is close by.
During our last trip to London, we were disappointed to find that this restaurant was closed. Despite booking weeks in advance, we were not informed of the closure. If we had known, we could have made a reservation at their alternate location.
Booked the offer, but as a menu was so limited ended order from the regular menu. I had stated during the booking here that it was our anniversary, that was never mentioned. It is dark and little atmosphere, the staff seems unhappy. The food was delicious, but at these prices you expect a decent curry, not especially and not as beautiful as Chutney Mary.
Sexy restaurant. Hidden in a cellar. We had the price. The first course was nice and delicious. Main and dessert were very gloppy, usually Indian, okay.
