During one of our hidden walks in London, my daughter and I stumbled upon Madeira, a plain 60/70s building that didn't look very inviting. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious homemade food inside. The mains offered a great variety and the homemade puddings, especially the custard tarts, were divine. Patrons rave about the homemade dishes, including exceptional breakfasts that boast unbeatable value—such as a Full English for just £5. The atmosphere buzzes with a mix of locals and tradespeople, creating a lively dining experience. While some have encountered inconsistencies in the menu, the charm of the café, coupled with its variety and quality of offerings, especially dessert, make it a worthy stop for anyone exploring the area. Madeira is a true hidden gem in the bustling city.
