I thought this place was great. If you're seeking comfort food, you'll find it here. We started off with minestrone soup which was very rich as though it had cooked a long, slow time. Very tasty. I had the chicken and ham pie with mashed potatoes and carrots. It was amazing. The crust on the pie was very thick and flaky and flavorful. It hit the spot. Okay, so here we jumped around the South Bank on the hottest day of EVER (19 July 2022) and very thirsty after a hard day, so maybe any pub would have done. But this Sam Smith's pub has something to do: wooden plates, alcoves, friendly staff, decent beer and apple wine. I'll be right back.
It is a nice pub to enjoy some drinks (beers or apples). I would recommend everyone to go here. The service is fast and beautiful!
Our party of 5 visited recently and must say what a beautiful and friendly pub. We were welcomed by the very friendly staff and loved the stands. We would definitely go back to see if we were in the area.
Great Place to eat and drink and what's with the negative feedback I have no idea that I found the staff very helpful and not rude in fact I found the rudeness was constantly on the customer's side mostly with all NOW to want. Very busy at this time of year and staff can only do so much when God gave them 2 hands. Very recommended, but expect that it is busy and have some patience. Deffo go back I loved it
