What Xcloose doesn't like about Japanese Canteen Ludgate Broadway:
The Japanese restaurant failed to meet a basic expectation by not having salmon available, even though it was only 8:10pm on a Monday. When asked if they had sold out for the day or simply didn't have any in stock, the staff admitted that they were out. It is disappointing that a Japanese restaurant would not have salmon available, as it is a staple dish. As a result, the reviewer left without eating. View all feedback. What pjthants likes about Japanese Canteen Ludgate Broadway:
This is a Japanese restaurant chain. I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious pork wontons and chicken bibimbap served in a hot stone bowl. The miso soup was a bit disappointing. The service was quick and attentive, with staff checking in on us a few times. Overall, it was a pleasant surprise and good value for the money. read moreThe Japanese Canteen offers a varied experience that swings between delightful dishes and disappointing service. While some patrons praise its quick service and fresh flavors—highlighting dishes like pork wontons and chicken bibimbap—others lament quality dips, such as soggy noodles and limited menu options at certain locations. The absence of staple ingredients, like salmon, raised eyebrows, and many have noted a decline in quality over time. Despite these setbacks, some believe the streamlined menu strategy may lead to better execution of a few selected items, making it a potential spot for indulgent yet affordable lunches amidst the bustling city.
I used to come here the week before my office moved. very tiny place (though 3 people can sit at the bar) fast and good to use and have good at this place.
