interesting yet small English restaurant with traditional roast like dinner, sausage mash and steak kidney pie. good choice of wine and beer from the samuel smith brewery. the restaurant looks like it was built in a pre-victorian age, so it is ideal for a first visit in london. the food and drink prices are at the upper end for pub food and the service could have been a bit more friendly. What Fiona D doesn't like about George And Vulture:
Very disappointed.. Food was decidedly average. Expensive .. not good value for money.. For such a historic building And it’s location we would have expected more . View all feedback.
Lots of outdoor seating although it was busy and tables were full. There was available indoor space though. Bar service was VERY slow. It was stifling hot inside.
Didn't eat that day but a few nice beers, and good history lesson. Will be going back ASAP
Great little pub to hit while visiting from the states. Recommended by Little Nick who we ran into near Borough Market. Fast and friendly staff. Dog friendly as well.
Great pub, brimming with history and you can feel it. Came for a few drinks with friends on a Tuesday and there were lots of seats- not an easy thing to find now!
Great service and a delicious Barnsley chop. Wood fire! It's perfect.
