I stopped here with some friends during a walk through the regents park and it has proven to be a perfectly acceptable feedstop. they had two different beers on the tap (camden hells pale ale,) plus had a good selection of cakes and other lunches. the menu. also some larger meal times for the feeling hunger. the prices were not too high and the service was good. What User doesn't like about Garden Cafe:
overall it was ok, and got tees and sandwiches. not up to the standard or service of many other londoners. it is sometimes heaving, due to its location, but it was quiet mid-week, on the morning, at last visit. the nearby Regents...Parkboot see café is superior, friendly, but smaller. I spent some time in the regents park because I had to wait for a doctor's appointment. then a massive rain shower came and I was looking for a place to escape. enter the regents park cafe. I told them that I can't eat anything like me. too fast for my annoyed renunciation with which they were completely in order and let me have a free table. When I was on my way all day (not to be from london) I also ran on the battery on my handy, which was a bit of a problem as I needed to lead me in the city. they not only let me charge my phone, but they gave me a charger, because I didn't have the right plug. of what I saw it was a well-run caffe and people seemed happy in it. When I was clearing up outside, I went away and wanted to tip, but they wouldn't take any money. very friendly (what looked) a family business.
Visited this restaurant after 3 hours in london zoo. place was to do but not full about 1 clock and we have a table immediately. there are no menus here, so they need to download the app, then order it. it took. but our party of 5 ended the order only for the message now appear closed. we went to the time and told the employee there, so she asked what we wanted. when we told her you didn't have fish and chips, only his pizza, we got a problem. the problem seems to have been some lost orders, so no fishing and chips. all employees seemed to run around like headless chicken with paper orders on a table and on the floor. absolute maghem, as I had never seen before in a restaurant. will never go back, almost for an hour download the app etc. they will immerse themselves as it will be in the summer when it gets busy. the date was Friday, 25 March
Stopped off here for a drink. We sat outside but the inside of the cafe looked clean and tidy although some of the tables outside could have benefited from being cleaned to remove crumbs and food/ drink stains. We only had tea, but it was...delicious high quality tea that was reasonably priced. The range of food and drink on offer looked good too. The cafe seemed really popular with dog owners as dogs were well catered for. We would definitely go again.
So I had a last minute catch up with a friend who works at Madame Tussauds. We had some dinner at a local pub and then decided to take a walk in regents park, came across this pretty little cafe, fancied a cupper tea. When...we walked in, they were cleaning up and closing shortly. So the staff member took our order but did say I can only give it in a takeaway cup which was fine. While waiting for a young child more less age 12/13 years old, walked up to ask a question, but the staff lady ignored him and then told him off and said when shes serving customers he should wait. But she said it in a rude and angry way! that was rude and inappropriate for her to speak to the child like that in front of us. Customer service needs to be improved! When leaving I went to use the WC and they locked all of the toilets and then said sorry you can't use them. Well, when you have a customer sitting in your garden and eating and drinking still and you have not officially closed why?? It is out of order to lock all the WC!!! The staff member girls who were meant to be cleaning them just said chatting away in the WC instead of cleaning them and telling me I can't use them... Overall great venue, the food looked lovely in what I saw. They have a fire oven for pizza's, their main feature is the garden, sitting outdoor, plenty of space and seats. Would recommend it however maybe not to pop by towards the end of the day as closing shift staff was rude, making faces and eager to go home. I get it might have been a long day or stressful shift, however, if your paying £4 for two basic tea's, its just tea bag and hot water, no need for that face.
Worst service. No milk available at the self service counter. Waited patiently for milk, then asked politely, then more firmly only to be rudely told off for laying a foot inside the service line despite impossibility of attracting anyone's attention otherwise. Couldn't believe the attitude....Rude and unhelpful. Won't be back except to use the loo.
