Really lovely setting, fantastic wine list and great expresso martinis. Unfortunately the food wasn't anywhere near as good. The burger was nice but everything else was quite greasy View all feedback.
Very cool interior!! Although, unfortunately not enough to make me come back. Charging £7.50 for one slice of sourdough for what I'm sure was pre made tub avo and £3.50 side of eggs, we found the prices too step. Very slow service while it wasn't busy not the makings of a good brunch experience of Central Co. With a bit of urgency and better quality/presentation/portions I might be a return customer.
I went on a Friday night just to have some drinks with some Friends. We had already been in Central and Co for dinner and drinks in the past and we like the place, a bit crowded as it is a small place with nice background music. The food was a bit expensive food for the amount they provide, but good. Overall it is a nice place. Unfortunately yesterday the service was not that good, the drinks took 15 minutes to be served, just a jar of wine, and the bill they asked us to pay was the incorrect bill, twice! They had to create a new bill at the end. If the service had been a bit better I would have put 4 stars, as at least they were very polite.
Popped in here for a quick pre dinner bite last Friday night at 5.30pm.The food is excellent. We had various nibble type items (chicken kievs, lamb koftas), which were served with good background eg potato salad base. Husband then had the house burger to fill up it doesn't come with chips or similar, but nevertheless, he enjoyed it.We had two beers and two cocktails. The Retox cocktail was amazing, very good. The salted caramel julep was a disappointment minimal caramel and basically just bourbon with mint.I don't know if it was just a Friday night thing, but the service felt remarkably slow. We had to ask for menus, although two tables seated before us were given them in advance, and it looked like only one person was working the bar.It wasn't a massive problem, because we tend to give ourselves lots of time no matter what, so we weren't rushed. If we had been trying to pop in and out quickly (which wouldn't have been unusual, given how close this place is to various theatres etc), it might have caused some issues. Also do not seat customers near plug sockets if your staff/other customers want access to said sockets for phone charging. I turned around a couple of times to find people kneeling next to my legs and on one occasion was actually asked to get up so they could access it!
Had a fab lunch here over the weekend really enjoyed the buzz of the place and the great flavours of the food. Yummy courgette fries! Would go back for dinner sometime.
Had a nice Sunday brunch at Central and Co. The service was good without being intrusive. The food was more interesting than many brunch menus, though the portions were on the small side.
